Our Program

Rocky Boy Rural Water System (RBRWS) is located within the boundaries of the Rocky Boy Reservation. There are currently three (3) U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized public water systems on the Rocky Boy’s Reservation. The water systems were developed separately into approximately 10 communities, but RBRWS have since been connecting all communities to establish one open loop system. The systems and associated Public Water System Numbers are as follows:

Eagleman Water System - PWS3090074

Newtown - PWS3090075

 

RBRWS consists of 24 individual pressure zones, 11 storage reservoirs, 21 ground water wells, 1 water treatment plant, 2 booster pump stations, 21 pressure reducing valves locations, a pipe network consisting of approximately 90 miles of water main ranging from 1-inch to 12-inch in diameter, gates valves, air release valves, blow off valves, and 85 fire hydrants. The water distribution system serves water to approximately 650 residential accounts and 75 commercial accounts.
